'THE UNEDITED TRUTH'
This year has seen our work with Women’s Aid win 16 awards from The British Arrows to our most recent wins at the LIA’s.
This multi award winning piece of work was shown in the cinema as this is a place where, thanks to the certification system, children are shielded from violence and abuse. Unfortunately, for the 160,000 children currently living in households in England where domestic abuse takes place, exposure to fear and violence is their daily reality.
That is where ‘The Unedited Truth’ comes in, we wanted to highlight the realities for children growing up in abusive households. Inspired by real experiences of domestic abuse, the advert – written and directed by WCRS’ Creative Director David Dearlove – was conceived with the express intention of gaining an 18 certificate. Then with the BBFC’s help, the violent scenes were removed, making the film suitable for children to watch.
Since its debut it has been praised across the board. Including the following awards:
